Aramean people: Aramean people (not to be confused with ‘Armenians’) speak Aramaic, the language spoken by Abraham, Moses and Jesus. They are the indigenous people of what was called in ancient times Aram- Nahrin, in our days it is called ‘Mesopotamia’.

Some Arameans today identify themselves with “Assyrians”, because of the spiritual colonial hate generating activities of the Western missionaries and diplomats in the Middle-East in 16th and 19th centuries. Other Arameans became known as “Chaldeans”. However all of them are Arameans.In Turkey, the Arameans are called: Süryani. In Arabic they are called Al- Suryan.

A great leader who explains to the Christians in Iraq how to deal with the extreme situation they are facing with. How to deal with those who lacks words like "peace", "love" and "brotherhood".

This great spiritual warrior, a worthy Sheppard in Charge of Christ, explains profoundly that a true Christian should not leave his country, but should stay and serve as a salt and spiritual light in particular in this extreme difficult and dark situation in Iraq which is in dire need. That is the task of every Christian!!!!!!

Studying this video, also one can easily understand why those who wish to ethnically clean Iraq of its Indigenous Aramean Chaldean population, targeted Charismatic looking Mgr. Faraj Raho, simply because he encouraged his people to stay in Iraq and with that he was crossing the plan of those who brought about death and destruction in Iraq.

Indeed, a spiritual leader who can be remembered as a example to many!

“Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul”.

It is as if the Church of Iraq today lives in the first century, at time when we live in third millennium.

Our church today, Oh blessed, is experiencing witness and martyrdom, our church in Iraq is a witness and a martyr, a witness in it faith and a martyr in the blood of its sons and daughters.

And today we again hear the call of our Lord Jesus saying “And you will be witness to me”.

The saying of our Lord Jesus Christ, Glory to Him, echoes in the ears of our Christian people saying “An hour will come when everyone who kills you will think that he is worshipping God”.

They will do that because they have neither known my father nor me.

I have told you these things for you to remember if the hour comes, then it is I who told you.

And the hour is at hand and Jesus is saying that to us again.

We are the sons of the Church. Our mission today in this country is to be the salt of the soil that was watered by the blood of its sons. And to be a light in a world that has been overcast by gloomy black cloud we have no idea as to whom it will clear away.

Today we have to hear clearly the voice of the Lord who says, “you are the light of the world, you are the salt of the soil”

We have to stay the way our forefathers did in this country that is ours and this land that is ours.

We will remain a salt and a light.

Our church was and has been throughout the generation a martyr to Christ in a world that is governed by treachery, chaos, cheating, lie and deception; in a world that has been overcome by the law of jungle, in a wild world void of all spiritual and human values, a world that is controlled by savagery, enmity, ignorance and hateful fanaticism.

Shall we stay on our soil or flee away? Yes we will stay.

Today there are those who say to us as they said to Jesus. Go away from here, for Herod wants to kill you.

But did Jesus flee away? No

He rather said “Go and tell that jackal: here I am casting demons and healing today and tomorrow, in other words, here I am witnessing that the kingdom of the heaven is at hand.

I testify that God is Love, we testify that God is forgiveness, we shall proclaim the civilization of love and forgiveness in this country until the coming of the Third Day, The Great Day.

Shall we be scared? We do believe that our Lord Jesus Christ is with us till the End of the world, will not leave us! It is He who said, “Don’t be afraid, Oh small herd”

Yes we shall not be afraid. “Don’t be afraid”, says Jesus.

You shall suffer hardships, in this world, but be sure that I have won the world.

We are sure and confident that if God is with us, then who is against us?

Who can separate us from the love of Jesus. Tension? Distress? Persecution? Or hunger and danger, or sword and terrorism?

For it has been said in the Bible, “It is for you that we suffer death everyday, and for you wer are prepared like sheep to be slaughtered, but we so fulfill, what St. Paul say, ”We have had a clear victory by the one who loved us”, I am confident that no death no life no angels, no authority, no present, no future, no forces, no highness, no depths and neither any other creation has the potential to separate us from the love of God in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes, we shall not be afraid, because we are not scared by those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul.
